songs for Damo

I will post a setlist shortly ... most of the songs you have access to a version if you want to do some homework ... there is also a book of chord charts floating around (do you have it?)

anything we want

mlj said "...I think a show based around drums and guit and vocals/harmonica with some extra bits of bass, guitar and percussion for some songs is "do"able ... keyboards? (we can get any sounds we want) .."

i like this idea. I'm feeling a lot more confident on the bass with the amount of practice I have been doing, (even practicing by playing bass while connor plays on guitar hero).

where is the gig on the 14th?

not sure if I will play at the gig because I have not made it to practice. will depend on the next practice.

Well done ... we are all in and somewhat on

BP looks like Thursday ... we will record if possible and upload the songs using damo's new functionality

dempo's first

I'm in!

also ... can we change the font, size and colour of the text on sleepless.com.au?

we'll probably get together on Thursday this week to record ... although tuesday or wednesday are a possibility also ... I would like to try out the zoom or else just record using the mac (I'll see if I can get a USB mic to try out) ... we are playing on Wed 14th of may ... what does everyone else think we will we have ready by then?

well done ... I uploaded a demo called "for all the world" ... eric clapton was drunk and played on it - with his feet ... Dempo should be on tomorrow - I created an account for him (he will get it at work) ... can you set the time for these posts so that it is our timezone?

also can we configure the email alert so that it sends a msg rather than the content of the blogg ... something that can be deleted without being read? ... it sort of defeats the purpose of the blogg if you know what it is going to say before you get there ...

up up and away

i added file upload capability.

please test and let me know what you think.

(for now... after you upload a file, you have to resart internet browser)

cheers damian

recording

me again...

i purchased the zoom h4 which makes room recording band practice a piece of cake. let me know when you are rehersing next and i'll drop it over so you can record for me and I can practice.

http://zoomh4.net/h4

also, i'll modify the web site so you can upload files to share very easily.

streaming media

one more day of holidays left after this one and then it's back to work - but I think I've put my time to good use.

NOW I JUST NEED YOUR HELP...

i've created a page http://www.sleepless.com.au/stream/stream.aspx which streams music directly. I'm hoping that it will work on any computer/browser that has Flash installed.

can you please test it on the mac and on other computers and let me know. don't worry about the look - i'll change that later.

oh, and I've been playing heaps of bass. I bought some flat wound strings for my accoustic and they sound great. there is a book called the 'real book' which comes in three volumes and is well accpeted as the bible of all jaz standards. "...semi-underground series transcribed and collated by students at Berklee College of Music during the 1970s..." been playing from that.

cheers - damian
